How CLU Works
When you analyze a document with CLU:
1. Document Sent to AI Provider: The document text is sent to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude)
2. Immediate Analysis: The provider analyzes the document in real-time
3. Results Returned: Risk scores and analysis results are sent back to you
4. Document Discarded: The original document is immediately discarded and not stored anywhere
Data We Don't Collect
CLU does not:
- Store documents you analyze
- Log or retain document content
- Track what documents you analyze
- Sell your data to third parties
- Use your documents for training models
- Create profiles based on your analysis history
Data We Collect
CLU collects minimal information:
- **Extension Usage**: Whether the extension is installed and active
- **Error Logs**: Technical errors to help us improve the service
- **Analytics**: How features are used (non-personally identifiable)
AI Provider Data
When you use CLU, your chosen AI provider may collect:
- **API Usage Data**: Number of requests, response times
- **Billing Information**: To charge you for API usage

2. Revoking the API key
3. Updating it in CLU settings
